Prices for new year were astronomical on Tenerife but this hotel provided great value for money. It is dated, very 1990s but well maintained, clean and comfortable. The bathroom looked like it had seen an update at some point and the wall around the pool area was being replaced with glass panels, which will offer great sea views from the pool and restaurant. Rooms were a good size, offering a kitchen area with a few utensils, fridge, kettle and hot plate. Plenty of wardrobe space, comfortable beds, a few chairs and a small table, should you want to eat in the room. They won't win any style awards but are well kept and spotlessly clean. A fair choice at breakfast but the hot food was warm at best, so I'd stick to the continental. I only had one evening meal in the hotel but it was the New Year's gala dinner. Great selection, even for a non meat eater like me but I can't say how the standard buffet compares. Nearby is a scenic coastal walk and a small selection of bars, restaurants and mini markets (limited opening hours/days at this time of year though). The free bus to Puerto de la Cruz is great, giving you a quiet base but the bigger resort option if you want it.
